If you want to enjoy a nice view of the Potomac River without a hike, we suggest grabbing a couple of adirondack chairs on the Visitor Center porch at Riverbend Park.

If the spring flowers are blooming, take an easy walk on the River Trail to a private bench closer to the water.

If you head to the western end of the park you’ll have views of the historic Patowmack Canal, spearheaded by George Washington, and the choppy waters of the Seneca Breaks.
